Cladrastis lutea
An excellent specimen, smooth gray bark and fragrant pendulous white flower clusters that bloom in late spring or early summer. Flat brown seed pods ripen and drop in fall. Major flower crop every 2-3 years. Fall colours of orange to yellow. Likes almost any moist and deep soil and prefers full sun.
Prune in the summer or fall to avoid excessive bleeding.
