Prunus virginiana ‘Schubert’
This small tree flowers in the spring, dense clusters of white single blossoms. Edible fruits are used for making wine, jellies and pies. New budding foliage is green becoming dark red-purple in summer and fall.
Prefers moist and well-drained soil, some lime preferred. Protect from the wind.
